“One of my last high school senior sessions took me to Lake Shawnee. As I stood there in the early morning fog, watching the sunrise spill over the water, I was reminded why I fell in love with photography in the first place. There’s a stillness in those moments that’s hard to beat.
This photo is of my assistant, Maurine, taken while we waited for our senior to change outfits. Sometimes, it’s in the quiet pauses that the best images appear.
I’ve spent my life capturing weddings and portraits, and it’s been such a rewarding journey. Now, as I step into a new chapter, I’m excited to see where the road—and the camera—takes us. Here’s to many more unforgettable photographs in the years to come.”
